  1. This has to do with your poll. It is a trick question, especially when you juxtapose that poll to this post, one of your choices should be.

Do I expect it: NO. Should I expect it: YES

  2. Puff:

Why don't you expect it? Because of what we have seen, or just an acceptance of where Catholicism is in this country?

Unfortunately, Canon Law is now "done" by every Tom, Dick, and Harry who has a blog. As a J.D. - I cautiously wade the waters up to my ankles in the Canon Law pool... but Catholic Hospitals are on very weak ground when they do these things - we just need Bishops willing to make the hard choice... we have so far only seen a few...

  3. A bit of both. BTW down here is Canada we have CINO politicians too.

Some of our bishops do excommunicate the politicians, but what goood is excommunication, when the politician already doesn't go to mass, or take communion? What threat is it, when the "catholic" doesn't care whether he can take communion or not?
We've got a premier who is willing to break Constitutional Law, to force the catholic School board to teach and practice according to the Gay agenda. So no I don't believe politicians will let catholic social institutions be catholic, and it's tow the political line or suffer the political and legal ramiifications.
